Service in Bahrain (1927–1936)

Abdulrazzaq moved to Bahrain, where he held diplomatic and administrative positions between 1927 and 1936. During this period, he demonstrated notable competence in managing both diplomatic and administrative affairs and played a significant role in strengthening relations between Bahrain and the British administration.

British Political Resident in Sharjah (1936–1945)

This was one of the most pivotal stages in his career, as Abdulrazzaq Al-Razzuqi served as the British Political Resident in Sharjah from 1936 to 1945. He held this position for nearly a decade, during which he exercised broad authority. This role marked a turning point in his professional journey, reinforcing his status as a distinguished diplomat in the Gulf region.

In recognition of his outstanding service as Native Agent in Sharjah, he was awarded the title Khan Bahadur by the British Indian government.

Trade and Public Affairs After Returning to Kuwait

After concluding his tenure in Sharjah, Abdulrazzaq Al-Razzuqi returned to Kuwait in 1945 and turned to trade. However, he remained deeply engaged in public affairs, maintaining an active presence in Kuwait's political and social spheres.

Role in Kuwait's Admission to the United Nations

After Kuwait gained independence, Abdulrazzaq Al-Razzuqi was appointed as Kuwait's Observer to the United Nations. His primary task was to revive Kuwait's application for UN membership, which had previously been blocked by a Soviet veto. He played a pivotal role in laying the groundwork for resubmitting the request and was instrumental in rallying international support to help shift the Soviet position. His efforts culminated in Kuwait's successful admission as a member of the United Nations on 14 May 1963.

Ambassador of Kuwait to Jordan (1963–1968)

Following the success of his mission at the United Nations, Abdulrazzaq Al-Razzuqi was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He held this position until his retirement in January 1968.
